I was feeling a bit of Deja Vu as I began this post, so I looked back at the Archives, and last year at just about this time D.G. Meyer was working on the first phase of the Eagle Landing Apartment Project — four buildings and 148 HVAC units in all. This year, construction is continuing on Phase II of the popular apartment complex which provides student housing for nearby Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University. Eagle Landing offers one to four bedroom apartments. Last year, the three bedroom units sold out in the first month of operation. These units are obviously filling a housing need in this community.

The name D.G. Meyer Inc. understandably makes people think of air conditioning and heating services—and that’s just fine. Our company has served the Central Florida area as both residential and commercial contractor for over a quarter of a century now. We are very proud to be a household name in Volusia and surrounding counties. The fact is though, we do so much more.
Aside from our very visible presence as Business and Residential HVAC Contractors, D.G. Meyer also has a large, modern and very well equipped Sheet Metal Shop. A host of services can be provided by this shop, including but not limited to covers for roof top a/c, return plenums, fabricating hoods for kitchens or industrial applications, exhaust hoods for bath fans and copper pans for residential showers. The shop can provide and work with such materials as stainless steel, copper, aluminum products (white, brown, diamond plate, tread plate, mill finish and polished), and steel.

As we move through the half-way point of our Florida winter with it’s on again-off again bouts of cool and blustery weather, and large influx of snow-birds and race fans, construction in the area is still going strong.
D.G. Meyer Inc. has been kept busy on a number of Commercial projects in the area.
The Environmental Discovery Centerin the Central Park area on Division Avenue, with its building designed to resemble our traditional Florida Cracker architecture, is coming along nicely. You can find out more about this fascinating project, and get updates on its progress, by clicking on the link above or checking out their FacebookPage. It is expected to be opened sometime in the spring of this year.
Other jobs of note, and included in the gallery below, are the just recently completed Ameritech Die & Mold South Inc., and a unit change out with custom curb adapter for the DOT on Kepler Road in DeLand.
