D.G. Meyer Proud to be Part of Streamline Project
Called by some “The Birthplace of NASCAR”, the historic Streamline Hotel which initially opened at 140 S. Atlantic Ave. in Daytona Beach, FL in 1941, is undergoing a facelift. The renovation of this legendary lodging is the culmination of local businessman Eddie Hennessy’s vision. Years of neglect had left the building in sad condition, and the renovations and repairs required to restore this landmark to its Art Deco glory are extensive, but the project is well underway. One of the future features of the hotel will be the reopening of its famous rooftop bar. It will be called the Boardroom Sky Lounge to honor the founding fathers of NASCAR who met there back in the later half of the 1940s.
D.G. Meyer is the HVAC contractor on this project. If you would like more information on this historic restoration, check out the Daytona International Speedway website—Local Legends- Streamline Hotel. You can also visit the Streamline’s new website. We are so excited to be part of such a great renovation.
