Have a Happy & Safe Holiday Weekend

As everyone sets out to enjoy the Holiday Weekend that marks the unofficial arrival of Summer, we hope that you will take some time to remember the significance of this day. Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States set aside to remember and honor those who died serving in this country’s armed forces. While we have much to celebrate in this country, Memorial Day is also a solemn observance, paying tribute and respect to those who shed blood in order to guarantee the many Freedoms we enjoy. Please, take some time to reflect on this during the upcoming weekend.

And, while you are enjoying the changing of the season— barbecuing, attending parties, boating , fishing, swimming, or any of the other myriad activities available— Be Safe. Remember to use common sense and care, and to observe rules of the road, water, or wherever this holiday finds you.

D.G. Meyer Inc. wishes everyone a very good and safe holiday…

A Fond Farewell

Giant Recreation WorldEndings…

Project & Long Time Business Relationship Both Reaching Conclusion

Giant Recreation World- Interior

The new home for Giant Recreation World, the huge RV dealership previously located on a 5-acre facility at U.S. Highway 1 in Ormond Beach, is nearly complete. We first announced that D.G. Meyer would be involved in this project located at the Destination Daytona Complex in a post last fall—Daytona Area Construction News.

As this job draws to a close, it is with the knowledge that this may be the last project with long time business associates and friends at Strasser Construction.  As many from the Central Florida area probably know, Chuck Strasser, President of the prominent construction company, passed away in January of 2015. Now, company management has decided it is time to move on to other things, and will be closing down.

D.G. Meyer, Inc. is proud to have been associated  with Strasser Construction for over twenty years. Some of the projects the two companies have worked together on include the entire Daytona Auto Mall, everything at Destination Daytona including the massive Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Harley-Davidson, Houligans at Destination Daytona, Port Orange and Palm Coast, and many more.  It has been a pleasure working with Charlie, Chuck and Scott Strasser during these years, and all the great people at Strasser Construction.

We at DGM wish all of them the very best…
